The Tories Need Murdoch

It's looking good for Bill Murdoch.

The Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP may soon be returning to the Tory fold and once again will be a member of the Conservative Caucus at Queens Park.

Murdoch of course was exiled from the caucus for telling the truth.

And that is the most serious of sins for any politician to commit.

When Bognor Bill as he is known stated that John Tory's days as leader were finished, he was purged from the party by Tory's inner circle.

But now after Murdoch prediction actually came true, efforts are under way in the party to try and convince the maverick MPP to return to the Tory tent.

And that would be a good thing for not only the Conservatives, but for democracy as well.

While some feel that Murdoch is a bit of a loose cannon, the majority believe the straight shooting, tell it like it is politician is exactly what is needed at Queens Park.

We need more politicians like Bill Murdoch who are not afraid to speak up on behalf of their constituents even if it means upsetting the political apple cart or disagreeing with the misguided views of the party leader.

Politicians like Murdoch are good for democracy as they continually remind the political big wigs that in fact they work for the people , not the party.
