Two serious motorcycle collisions have sent two people to hospital in Muskoka over the past four days.
On Saturday at 4:45 p.m., police reponded to a residence near Southwood Road in Kilworthy after a 29 year-old operator was riding on private property and suffered a collision. They were taken to hospital and are currently in stable condition.
Then on April 27th just after 5 pm, there was a collision after one of two motorcycles travelling together lost control on Southwood Road in Gravenhurst. The 32 year-old operator was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say motorcycle operators are vulnerable at this time of year as many roads have loose sand and gravel.
Operators should always wear an approved helmet and high quality protective gear.
Motorcycles are also smaller and more difficult to see and gauge their speed. This means other motorists should be extra cautious when turning or changing lanes.
