The Town of Collingwood will not participate in a new provincial regulation allowing BYOB public events.
The Town conducted reviews and consultations and says it’s not ready to permit BYO events citing public safety and a myriad of other concerns including insurance, policing and event oversight.
While municipalities are now allowed to permit BYO events under the revised provincial regulation, they are not required to do so.
