Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce is launching a campaign to expand its service into southern Georgian Bay.
A release says, Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Georgian Triangle closed its doors in 2020, leaving 270 children and youth in need of support.
At that time, the Grey Bruce chapter agreed to support some of the matches in the Collingwood region.
They continue to receive service requests and say there is a growing need for mentorship services within that community.
With the goal of raising $90,000 over the course of 2022, Big Brothers Big Sisters Grey Bruce plans to grow its community mentoring programs to reach children and youth in the Collingwood area by 2023.
Eventually, they would like to expand their programs and services across all of southern Georgian Bay.
Cala Bryans of Big Brothers-Big Sisters Grey Bruce joined The Great Paul Hill on the 560 CFOS Morning Show to talk about the expansion of their service into Simcoe County and also thanked the public for their support of the annual Bowl For Kids Sake event.
