Starting Friday, the OPP’s Civic Day Long Weekend Traffic Safety Campaign starts across the Province.
It runs until Monday, August 2nd.
Locally, Huntsville OPP will be emphasizing “Move Over for Emergency Vehicles” and the “Big 4”, which includes seatbelt compliance, distracted driving, impaired driving, and speeding.
Road users should expect a much higher volume of traffic in the Huntsville area over this long weekend.
OPP says this makes it particularly important to move over for emergency vehicles when safe to do so and be mindful of the “Big 4”.
