The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported six new Covid cases and three recoveries on Wednesday.
According to Public Health, residents of Arran-Elderslie, Brockton, Grey Highlands, Hanover, Saugeen Shores and Southgate tested positive.
A slight daily increase in the region’s active known cases to 54, as new infections outpaced resolved cases. Two Grey Bruce residents are currently hospitalized.
Public Health says there are also six people from other health units transferred to local Intensive Care Units in Grey Bruce.
There are 160 active high-risk close contacts identified by Public Health.
On vaccination progress in Grey Bruce: 62,486 doses have been administered to date.
Over the course of the pandemic, five Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Wednesday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
