A 21-year-old Toronto man faces a slew of firearm and drug-related charges in Strong Township.
Almaguin Highlands OPP responded to a speeding vehicle complaint on April 18th
They caught up with it after it hit a tractor-trailer and ended up in the West ditch along Hwy 11.
The driver fled on foot and was seen brandishing a handgun at a driver in a parked vehicle.
As police approached, they say the driver again fled on foot after pointing the gun at officers.
Police eventually arrested him and seized a handgun, magazine with ammo, suspected drugs and $2,100.
The accused, who faces drug trafficking, flight from police, assault with a weapon and uttering death threat charges amongst others was held in custody for a bail hearing today.
