Police say nine people have been charged after an unlawful gathering in Strong Township.
Police responded Saturday at 11:25 am to a Crescent Road address which is a rental home.
The people involved were in contravention of the “Stay at Home Order”, under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA), say police.
Nine adults were charged with failure to comply with a continued section 7.0.2 order, contrary to section 10(1) of the Reopening Ontario Act (ROA).
Police say it’s important that the public understands that there are consequences for individuals who defy the EMCPA and ROA orders that are in place.
