The Town of Gravenhurst is reminding residents to inform the Town before making significant changes to properties.
With warmer weather and an increased amount of time being spent on our properties, a growing amount of outdoor projects are taking shape.
The Town of Gravenhurst By-law Division would like to remind property owners of a few things to consider before going ahead with their outdoor projects, such as removing trees or making any changes to their site.
Site alterations can cause erosion, blockage, siltation and even contamination of waterways.
It can also harm natural vegetation that’s designated to be preserved too.
A permit application before any work is completed is $333 while a permit application after work has been completed is $666.
Non-compliance tickets can also be issued at a cost of $360 and Stop Work Orders may also be imposed on the property by Municipal By-law Enforcement.
