One new Covid case and two recoveries were reported by the Grey Bruce Health Unit on Tuesday.
According to Public Health, a Kincardine resident tested positive.
There are now 58 active known cases in the region. Four people are currently hospitalized locally, while the health unit says two Grey Bruce residents are receiving care outside of the region as well.
Meantime, the Grey Bruce Health Unit says it’s working with the Bluewater District School Board about a confirmed case associated with Ripley-Huron Community School. Public Health is also working with the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board and its school bus company concerning a confirmed case and a second probable case associated with St. Anthony’s School in Kincardine.
For both situations, Public Health says those not contacted by them “need not take any additional steps including asymptomatic testing.”
On vaccination progress in Grey Bruce: 26,519 doses have been administered to date.
Four deaths have been attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce throughout the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Tuesday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Monday.
