The Grey Bruce Health Unit confirmed 10 new Covid cases in the region on Thursday.
According to Public Health, three Grey Highlands residents, two people from Blue Mountains, two from Arran-Elderslie, two from Southgate and one person from Northern Bruce Peninsula tested positive.
Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says four of the 10 new cases are from two households.
Data about whether any of the new positives are close contacts of previous known cases was not immediately available from Public Health.
The Health Unit also reported four additional recoveries Thursday. There are now 55 active known cases in Grey Bruce. Three people are currently hospitalized.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
An outbreak has been declared at Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home in Lion’s Head. The Health Unit says it is working to address a single case associated with a staff member.
Grey Bruce does not have any outbreaks at schools or daycares.
