It’s the final weeks of the annual firefighter recruiting drive in Gravenhurst.
Already, emergency responses are up slightly there this year, but as the warmer weather approaches, the “busy season” will soon start.
Fire Chief Larry Brassard says the department has a number of spots in its roster they need to fill.
Openings are available at the main station in Gravenhurst and at both substations in Kilworthy and Ryde.
You have to be over 18 years old and have a strong desire to learn new skills, thrive in a team environment, and get a sense of self-satisfaction from helping others.

The firefighter recruitment selection process starts in June.
