Owen Sound Men's Fastball

Harold Sutherland Construction 8 Tara Titans 3. 

Winning pitcher was Teran Hooey.  He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits, 9 strike outs and 1 walk. 

Pat Brennan had 3 singles, Ken McMillan had a double and a single and for the Titans Chad Malcolm had a triple and a double. 


Lanceford 11 Williamsford Yellow Jackets 6. 

Allenford Astros beat Shallow Lake Sting 5-2. 

Matt Hamilton spun up a gem for the Astros giving up 5 hits and  2 walks while striking out 5.

Owen Torrie took the loss for the Sting giving up 5 hits and 4 walks while striking out 7.

Morgan Ottewell had 2 hits and a walk for the Allenford.


In Intercounty Fastball.

Dundalk Smoke over the Grand Valley Expos 7-1. 


Grey Bruce Ladies Fastball.

Port Elgin Devils defeated the Tara Ladies by a score of 7 – 1.  

Katherine Mullin and Heather Tout split the pitching duties for Port Elgin and gave up 3 hits Kelly Cornfield pitched a complete game for Tara, giving up nine hits.

Courtney Calhoon, Heidi McLeod, and Katrina Richards had the hits for Tara while Jamie Mitchell, Heather Tout and Tracey Palinsky each had two hits for Port Elgin.


The Desboro Royals sunk The Meaford Leaky Canoe Ladies 4-3. 

Kaitlyn Knox was 3 for  3 at the plate belting 2 triples and a single. Julie Thomson added 2 singles. Maddy Moore tossed the complete game allowing 6 hits with 10 strike-outs and 1 walk. For Meaford, Erica Paulsen went the distance allowing 7 hits, with 13 strike-outs and no walks. Sophia Lemon tripled and singled while Jenn Bumstead and Carol Losier both doubled. 


Intermediate Girls Box Lacrosse

Kreuger Steel's Intermediate Girls Box win the last game of regular season, 5-1 over Brampton. 

Katelyn Lavergne  and Brynna Kirkwood scored 2 goals a piece.  Jamie Carr added a single.

At the  Open Pairs tournament at Owen Sound Roselawn Bowling Club, sponsored by Physiotherapy III.  First Place: Ken Martin of Chesley with Barb Eaton of Walkerton, 3 wins , 44 + 3 points.  Coming in 2nd were Larry and Liz Boshart of Hanover, with 2 wins, 44 + 5 points.  Mike Gvildys and Mac Robinson of Owen Sound Roselawn came in 3rd with 2 wins, 38 points.  4th went to John and Mary Anne VanRooyen of Sauble Beach with 2 wins, 34 points.  Consolation prize for highest aggregate score of a 1 game winner went to John Flynn and Brenda Long of the Roselawn club.
