Baywest Nissan will be hosting their annual Tickets for Test Drives tonight from 6-8 pm and will donate $10 to Cubs for Cancer for every test drive, and $50 for every vehicle sold.

Shawn Ringel from Baywest Nissan will be a guest on the Paul Hill Show this morning on 560 CFOS.


The Owen Sound Rotary Club is holding their 6th annual poker tournament tonight at DanceMakers Gymnastics Club- 3195 East Bayshore Road, Owen Sound. .

Registration is 6-7 pm.  Start time is 7 pm.

The cost to play is $ 120.


The Owen Sound Puffer League is looking for a few more players for the upcoming season which begins Wednesday September 27th.

The league is for players aged 35 & older and plays Wednesday nights at the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre.

Registration is from 5:30-8 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

The Owen Sound Attack, in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society's Bluewater Office, is pleased to announce the inaugural Cubs For Cancer event in support of childhood cancer research and support services.

Centered around the Attack game against the Guelph Storm on November 25th, Cubs For Cancer will see the Attack don special jerseys that will be auctioned following the game.

Supporters will have the opportunity to participate in a haircut alongside the Attack at the Celebrity Serve the week prior to the game against Guelph.

Participants will be asked to raise at least $200 in pledges towards the event to be able to participate. Hair that is donated will go toward making wigs for local cancer patients as part of a program that sees the Canadian Cancer Society offer free wigs to cancer patients in need.

The Hockey Canada Skills Academy will be staged on October 27th for Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group.


The Celebrity Serve for the Cubs for Cancer campaign will be Monday November 20th at Boston Pizza in Owen Sound


The Cubs for Cancer Game will be Saturday November 25th when the Owen Sound Attack host the Guelph Storm.

Proceeds from the night are directed to the Bluewater Community Office of the Canadian Cancer Society for childhood cancer research.


The Kilsyth Young Guns and Kilsyth Flyers are proud to be the host teams for the 2018 Canadian Juvenile Broomball Championship Tournament in Owen Sound.

The Young Guns will host the Girls tournament while the Boys Championship will be hosted by the Flyers April 4th-7th at both the Bayshore & Regional Rec Centre.

More than a dozen teams from across the country will compete for the National titles.
