The 2019 Royal Canadian Legion District C Track and Field Meet will be held at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine on Saturday

Information on events and sign up can be seen at

Parents or Coaches can enter athletes from Grade 7-12 for up to 3 events.

Your local Legion Branch will cover the entry fee.

The annual Tara Fastball Tournament is Friday through Sunday

As part of the event, the Owen Sound Junior Selects are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday from 5-9 pm at the Tara Community Arena-Curling Club. 

Tickets are $15 and there’s a draw for a Owen Sound Selects custom freezer plus raffle prizes


The Owen Sound Bug Juice North Stars annual Golf Tournament at Scenic City Golf Course is Saturday June 29th.

The cost is $ 100 per player & Includes Cart, Prizes, Steak Dinner & More

Gran Fondo Lake Huron is Sunday, August 18th.

This cycling event has distances from 30k to 160k beginning and finishing Lakeside in Southampton. 

A Licensed beach-side picnic will follow with awards and more. 

Gran Fondo Lake Huron is a fundraiser for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation and supports
local healthcare.

The Roxy-Little Theatre Golf Tournament is Thursday July 4th at Legacy Ridge


The 2019 OASA Under 23 Elimination Tournament will be staged in Owen Sound at Duncan McLellan Park July 5th-7th


The 3rd annual " Golf FORE Kids Sake " Tournament will be held on Saturday July 13th at Scenic City Golf Course in Owen Sound

Proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters.

The 2nd annual Mount Forest Ribfest is Thursday, July 18th at the Mount Forest District Sports Complex.

The event runs from 6-9 pm and serves as great kickoff to the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival 

Tickets are $ 15 and include dinner or rib sampler plate

Tickets are available at Mount Forest Chiropractic, Meat The Butcher, Moose Mountain, plus M & M Meat Shops in Mount Forest.

Last year, the event raised $3,600 for minor sports programs and cancer patients in the Mount Forest region


The 24th annual Rotary Club of Port Elgin-Jeff Preston Golf Tournament will be staged on Friday July 19th at Saugeen Golf Club. 

Among the prizes & auction items available will be a pro golf bag and hat signed by PGA tour golfer Corey Connors from Listowel courtesy of Steve Marshman and RBC golf. 


The annual Tom Simms Memorial Fastball Tournament is July 26-28 at William Croft Athletic Field in Meaford


The annual Wiarton Rotary Village Fair conducted by the Wiarton Rotary Club, is August 2nd-5th


The Softball Canada Under 19 Championship Tournament will be hosted in Owen Sound at the Duncan McLellan Park August 6th-11th

The banquet will be Monday August 5th at  6.30 P.M. at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre

The opening ceremony for the tournament  is Tuesday August 6th at 6.30 pm at Duncan McLellan Park.


The 2019 District 27 55+ Regional Senior Games will be hosted in Grey & Bruce Counties on Wednesday August 14th.

As many as 600 participants will be competing and participating in one of more than 50 events which will be hosted in 7 towns and municipalities in our region; Cargill, Chepstow, Chesley, Hanover, Mildmay, Paisley & Walkerton

The 23rd annual Meaford Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival will feature a " Scarecrows’ Book Invasion "

The date and time for this year’s parade is Friday, September 27, starting at 6 p.m. on Sykes Street followed by a family festival at the Rotary Harbour Pavilion

The Georgian Bay Coyotes Track Club will be hosting their 9th annual Coyote Cross Country Race on Saturday, September 28th at the Georgian Bay Community School athletic field.

The race is open to all Grade JK-8 runners in Grey-Bruce.

There were more than 400 runners registered last year. 

There is a maximum of 500 runners that will be registered so we would encourage your athletes to register on-line at the Coyotes website,, as soon as possible in the new school year.

The race distances are:
JK-SK = 800m 
Grade 1-2 = 1km
Grade 3-4 = 1.55km
Grade 5-6 = 1.95km
Grade 7-8 = 2.92km

There is no entry fee, but we do encourage a “free-will donation” to our club at the entrance to the race site to help cover some of our race costs. 

Race entry deadline is Wednesday, September 25th and there is no race-day registration. 


The 2019 Bob Atkinson Memorial Cross Country Meet for Bluewater West athletes is set for October 16th at Saugeen Bluffs in Paisley
