Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".
Are you primed for the Super Bowl ?
Every year the game gets hyped to the max, but in the case of Super Bowl 52 between New England & Philadelphia, there are a number of compelling storylines.
You'll notice I said New England & Philadelphia and not the other way around, as I firmly believe the Patriots are the smart choice.
That's not to say the Eagles don't have a lot going for them.
Philadelphia, like New England posted a 13 & 3 mark on the regular season and got to the big game by thumping Minnesota on their home turf, the very same turf they'll be playing on this weekend.
You might guess my faith in the Patriots is based on Tom Brady being at quarterback for them, as opposed to Nick Foles for the Eagles.
Brady is a still-playing legend in the game, but castoff Foles has done a terrific job filling in for the injured Carson Wentz for a month & a half and there's no reason to suspect he'll be anything less than his best in the Championship Game.
In the end, my money is on New England because they've got a date with history & destiny staring them in the face.
1) the Patriots are looking to become back to back champions.
& 2) the Patriots are seeking to become the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champs since they themselves won the Super Bowl in 2004 & 2005.
New England. That's my call for Super Bowl 52.
