Bluewater Girls Basketball Playoffs
Hi, I'm Alex Cunningham with " Off the Wire "
Last week I attended the Bluewater Girls Basketball Playoffs at Owen Sound District Secondary School.
I watched 6 games 3 for the Juniors and 3 for the Seniors.
I witnessed a lot of teamwork and a lot of school spirit particularity from Kincardine and Owen Sound District.
Student supporters brought jugs of rocks to shake and pans to bang when their team got a basket and to show their school spirit.
I even had a lady sit next to me and hit me every time her daughter got a basket which was a lot. Even though my arm was hurting near the end of the game I was pleased to see the support that everyone was getting after a long day of basketball.
I met new people and learned a lot about all the teams.
One thing that really stood out to me was the amount of exchange students that some of the teams had, there were people from Spain, Japan and other parts of the world playing Basketball in the Bluewater Basketball Playoffs.
Walkerton Riverhawks won the championship for the Junior Girls and Kincardine Knights won the Championship for the Seniors.
All the teams played extremely well it was a great day had by all at the Bluewater Girls Basketball Championship Playoffs.
I would like to wish the Junior Walkerton Riverhawks and the Senior Kincardine Knights good luck in CWOSSA.
I'm Alex Cunningham, thanks for listening.
