" Quinn- The Life of a Hockey Legend "

By

A new book on Pat Quinn follows his career.

Length:

Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".

A little while ago, I snuck away for a day and plunked myself among strangers and opened a book, not to be disturbed whatsoever.

The book was " Quinn- The Life of a Hockey Legend " and chronicled the hockey life and times of Pat Quinn.

On the ice, his Hamilton roots, the bushwhacking moves of the Detroit Red Wings, the minors, his NHL arrival in Toronto, the hit on Bobby Orr, and the the deals to Vancouver and later Atlanta are all documented.

Off the ice, his ascent in coaching and managing from Philadelphia and a Stanley Cup Final appearance, on to LA, Quinn-Gate, eventually another Stanley Cup appearance with the Canucks, back to the Leafs and then his international activities and finally the Edmonton experience.

For 47 years following a Memorial Cup win with......Edmonton, Pat Quinn was in pro hockey, sometimes just barely, other times at the very top of his profession.

Written by Dan Robson, " Quinn " is a one day read that takes you in and out of almost 5 decades of pro hockey.

I'm Fred Wallace
