You can almost bet tonight's Junior B Lacrosse game at Guelph will be tight.
The Owen Sound Bluewater ProTeam NorthStars are in against the Regals in a MidWest Division matchup tonight and based on their play in the last 2 weeks, you know the NorthStars will be in a tight one.
One night they blew a lead at home to Elora, tied it and then won it overtime.
Then they lost a 1 goal decision at London.
Up next was a rugged home & home series with Orangeville.
Owen Sound, who have struggled for wins on the road, scored a huge one, winning 8-7.
Three nights later in an equally rough & tumble affair, the NorthStars got a late marker plus an empty netter to make it a sweep with an 8-5 win.
And then, Sunday afternoon, the Stars fell behind late and rallied with 2 goals to beat a very good Six Nations squad 7-6.
The run of 4 wins in 5 games has put Owen Sound somewhat in the hunt for a top 3 seed, but moreso, it's established that they don't quit and they're as good as any of the playoff bound teams in the Western Conference.
NorthStars at Guelph tonight in their final road game of the year, and you can almost bet it will be a squeaker.
