Bayshore Broadcasting is currently hiring for the position of Sales Co-ordinator at its head office in Owen Sound.

Job Summary:

The Sales Co-ordinator is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties including broadcast order circulation and preparing presentations and sponsorships for the Sales teams. The Sales Co-ordinator is in charge of Coming Events announcements for non-profit organizations and the sales and service of a few select Retail accounts.

Job Duties:

  • Broadcast order circulation to the Accounting, Creative, Sales and Traffic departments including all necessary forms that go with the orders to the Promotions and Programming departments.
  • Process budgets, documents, month end reports and correspondence as directed by the VP Sales and Marketing and/or VP Business.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, calendars and sponsorships for the Sales Team as requested.
  • To be a resource for clients and or national representatives in the absence of a Sales Rep or the VP Sales and Marketing.
  • Create and update packages and sponsorship lists for the Sales Team and the Promotion Department.
  • Present a positive and professional image of the Sales Department for all visitors, phone and email enquiries and other such customer interactions.
  • Accept and process all storm or business cancellations.
  • Field and distribute new client leads and enquiries in the absence of the VP Sales and Marketing.
  • Field all walk-in people and phone calls for advertising for coming events and ensure there is back-up support for this revenue stream when the Sales Co-ordinator will be absent.
  • Assist all staff with software technical support for Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point as requested.
  • Responsible for training and support of sales software with the sales team and for the training of duties and co-ordination of sales related support with the Receptionists at other Bayshore properties.
  • Back up for switchboard when required.
  • Be a liaison between other departments when questions arise.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP Sales and Marketing or VP Business.


  • College diploma or University degree in Business Administration, or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible experience
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Hands-on experience with production applications including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and presentation software
  • Excellent writing skills, including proper spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning and discretion
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
  • Previous experience in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the executive teams
