With over 80 employers and almost 900 employment possibilities, today’s Regional Job Fair is expected to draw well over a thousand job seekers.
Grey County Economic Development Manager Savanna Myers encourages job seekers to bring their resume and be prepared for the possibility of on the spot job interview.
Today’s job fair is even drawing job seekers from outside the region.
Myers says a busload of about 50 people are coming from the Peel region in search of jobs, which could mean new locates to the area.
She says today’s Job Fair includes a wide range of employment opportunities from entry level positions to highly skilled careers.
This includes: skills trade, health, tourism, retail, food, agriculture and business sectors to name a few.
Myers says there really is a lot of job opportunities locally, she says today’s Job Fair will help break some of those perceptions that the opportunity does not exist locally.
Today’s Regional Job Fair runs from 2 until 6 pm at the Bayshore Community Centre and will be located on the arena floor.
