Decision Day For Patrick Brown's Leadership Bid

Toronto | by Ian MacLennan

A committee is expected to decide today whether the Simcoe North MPP can continue to seek PC leadership.

This is Patrick Brown's D-day.

The Simcoe North MPP is expected to find out today if he can continue to seek the leadership of the Ontario Progressive Conservative party, the job he resigned from last month over sexual misconduct allegations.

Meantime, a fellow Tory MPP has lashed out at Brown, saying he engaged in "dirty and crooked politics" that breached the province's ethics rules.

Randy Hillier filed a complaint with Ontario's integrity commissioner yesterday afternoon alleging Brown violated the Members' Integrity Act by not properly declaring his income to pay for his house near Barrie, reporting gifts and travel, and disclosing income related to nomination votes.
