Hearing Dates Set for Sr. OPP Officers

Six days have been set aside for a preliminary hearing involving two Senior OPP officers.

 
Six days have been set aside for a preliminary hearing involving two Senior OPP officers. 
 
Bruce Peninsula OPP detachment commander and Staff Sgt. Wayne Thompson, and Acting Staff-Sargent Kevin Muir with Grey county OPP face charges of breach of trust and obstructing justice in connection with an ATV crash at Cape Croker in 2011. 
 
The collision left an off duty OPP officer with serious injuries.
 
Their case came before an Owen Sound court on Friday (Feb. 16th) and the preliminary hearing dates were set for April 16th-20th plus July 16th.
 
Both Thompson and Muir have been suspended with pay as required under the Police Services Act.
