Women Defend Brown in Open Letter
A letter containing 50 signatures questions the accusations and the #metoo movement.
An open letter is circulating showing support for former PC leader Patrick Brown.
A group called The Women in Simcoe County released the letter saying the allegations of sexual misconduct by two women towards Brown made them feel disheartened.
The letter with over 50 signatures says the #metoo movement has crossed into dangerous territory adding there is no line to destroy a man's career, life, and reputation.
The letter went on to say Brown has been a champion of the women's movement and questions the legitimacy of the accusation.
Brown went on Facebook to say he will fight to clear his name.
Brown resigned last month as party leader after two women came forward to CTV alleging he committed acts of sexual misconduct.
