Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre to reveal details of food tracking study during open house.

An update is coming on a food tracking survey commissioned by the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre.

Executive Director Mary Ellen Zielman says the centre brought on a team from Western University to track the food needs of residents along Ontario's West Coast.

Those findings will be presented at an open house Saturday at the centre's headquarters in Centralia.

Officials with the Ontario Trillium Foundation will also be in attendance at the gathering, to announce potential funding for the distribution centre.

Zielman says the central food bank is looking at a provincial grant for growth, to expand operations in the region.

This Saturday's open house runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre, at 39978 Crediton Rd, in Centralia.
