Numerous sports committee to hold dance, to raise money for future Recreation Park.

Numerous Goderich sports organizations are teaming up, to make a future recreation park a reality.

A day of events is planned throughout Canada's Prettiest Town Saturday, in support of revitalizing Goderich's Agricultural Park.

Revitalization Committee member Steve Hewitt says it's the first time soccer, hockey, baseball, and skate committees are working toward a common goal.

Town officials have asked the committee to fundraise $1,150,000 of the more than $3 million cost of redeveloping the park.

Fundraising is currently over $900 thousand.

Saturday's events include a tug of war challenge, a sports memorabilia silent auction, and an age of majority dance.

Proceeds will benefit park redevelopments.
