Attack 4 Colts 2

Jackson Doherty, Brett McKenzie, Maksim Sushko and Kevin Hancock scored for the Attack who have won 6 straight games on home ice to launch 2018.

McKenzie & Sushko had shorthanded markers as the Attack built a 3-0 lead.

Andrei Svechnikov scored twice for Barrie to bring the Colts to within 1 before Hancock sealed it with an empty net marker.

Cole Cameron 2 assists in the victory.

In goal, Olivier Lafreniere got the win over his former teammate at Ottawa, Barrieā€™s Leo Lazarev

The victory moves Owen Sound to within 1 point of Windsor for 7th in the Western Conference.

Friday, the Attack are at Guelph for a divisional matchup against the Storm.

The Colts trail first place Niagara by two points in the Central Division.

Barrie is at London tomorrow night.



Firebirds 3 Spirit 2 (OT)

Ty Dellandrea twice in regulation for the Firebirds including the game tying goal late.

Fedor Gordeev would score the game winner just 49 seconds into overtime.

Owen Sound native Connor Roberts had an assist in the victory and was + 2.

With the win, Flint is 1 point back of Erie for 9th in the Western Conference.

Cole Coskey and Damien Giroux scored for the Spirit who sit one point ahead of 6th place Guelph in the Western Conference.




Greyhounds 4 Wolves 0

Morgan Frost had a goal and 3 points as the Greyhounds won their 4th straight.

Netminder Matthew Villalta stopped 22 shots to record the shuout.

Brett Jacklin, Taylor Raddysh and Jordan Sambrook also scored for the Hounds
