Huron County Employers Take Part In London Job Fair

Huron County | by Peter Jackson

Over a dozen employers seeking to fill 150 jobs at job fair in the Forest City.

Over a dozen Huron County employers hope an event in London on the weekend results in hires for their companies.

Huron County Economic Development Project Manager Kristin Crane says "Not Just Another Job Fair" will highlight a number of diverse jobs that local industries and businesses are struggling to fill.

She advises job hunters to bring several copies of their resume, and be prepared to be interviewed on the spot tomorrow (SAT).

Crane encourages participants to pre-register on-line for the job fair, but you can also attend without registering ahead of time.

She points out that the event will be competitive, and that interviews will be granted on a "first come-first serve" basis.

Crane says human resources staff will be present, to help steer job-seekers toward openings that fit their experience level and skill set.

She notes that other local service providers will also offer assistance.

"Not Just Another Job Fair" will be held at the Thames Valley District School Board Education Centre on Dundas Street in London Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m..
