Don Matheson will be vying to turn Huron-Bruce Liberal red this June.
The Saugeen Shores councillor, secondary school teacher, and hockey team general manager was acclaimed to be the riding's representative, when voters hit the polls in roughly five months.
In a press release, Matheson promotes the Liberal pledge for free tuition and free pharmacare, as well as a $15 an hour minimum wage as of January 1st, 2019, and small-business tax cut.
Meantime, the Progressive Conservatives have promised to slow the minimum wage hike to increase over several years.
Lisa Thompson looks for her third term as the representative for Huron-Bruce, when she represents the Tories in June.
An NDP nominee for the area has not yet been named.
