If you were inspired by the outdoor NHL game in New York yesterday, you have some new options for skating outside.

The Simcoe County Museum has opened a skating trail through its grounds as of this week. A $10 admission gets you access to the 1-kilometre track through the woods and display buildings.

At the top of Blue Mountain, a new skating track has opened for the season, too. It's $13 admission for a track that's 1.6. kilometres through trees at the top of the ski hills in the south end of the resort.

Collingwood's outdoor skating rink has not yet opened for the season, but the outdoor rink near the RecPlex in Wasaga Beach opened before Christmas.
