Attack Nipped By Colts

Barrie rallies to beat Owen Sound in shootout

Aaron Luchuk and Ben Hawerchuk scored in the shootout as the Barrie Colts rallied from a 3-1 deficit en route to beating the Owen Sound Attack 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre Saturday night.

The Attack (14-14-1-5) dropped their fifth straight game.

Hawerchuk, Tyler Tucker and Jason Willms scored for Barrie (22-10-2-1), which trailed 3-1 after two periods before tying the game just over six minutes into the third.

Matthew Struthers, Alan Lyszczarczyk and Sean Durzi tallied for Owen Sound.

Kai Edmonds made 31 saves in the win, while Olivier Lafreniere stopped 27 taking the loss.

Owen Sound outshot Barrie 34-30 while going 1 for 6 on the power play. The Colts finished 2 for 4.

The Attack and Colts play the tail-end of a home and home set tonight in Barrie.
