Huron County's Housing and Property Services Manager says Ottawa's new housing strategy will improve service along Ontario's West Coast.
The federal government announced the $40 billion strategy in November, aiming to create 100 thousand affordable housing units.
The plan would also repair and renew 300 thousand units, from coast to coast.
As for the details on how the plan will affect Huron County, Housing Manager Barbara Hall says little information is available at this time.
A recent report from Hall says funding will depend on cost-sharing agreements from the province.
Because the release of information is ongoing, Hall says details are sparse.
She hopes to hear more when the provincial and federal governments begin their fiscal years, in April.
