A first public meeting today for people to find out about the sale of Collingwood's electricity utility to a company based in Edmonton.
Officials with EPCOR will make a presentation on their purchase of COLLUS at the information session at the library, starting at 7 o'clock.
Power prices aren't going to change, since they're set by the Ontario Energy Board.
Collingwood sold half its utility to Powerstream in 2012, and decided early this year to sell off the other half. Powerstream decided not to buy it, so will sell its half back to the town, and EPCOR will buy the entire thing.
