A Conservationist's Milestone

Meaford native John Lounds celebrates 20 years with the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

A local is celebrating 20 years as president and CEO of the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Meaford native John Lounds say NCC is the country's largest private land conservation organization.

Prior to joining NCC he worked for the Government of Ontario.

He served as program director for the Ontario Round table on Environment and Economy, Management board analyst for the Ministries of Environment and Northern Development and Conservation planner with the Ministry of Energy.

Since Lound took the top spot at NCC they have experience unprecedented growth and success.

NCC has helped to conserve more than 2.8 million acres of ecologically significant land across Canada.
