More Alarms for Collingwood Homes

Collingwood | by Mariane McLeod

fire department receives 200 smoke/CO alarms to distribute

More than 200 homes in the Collingwood area will be getting new smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms this fall.

The fire department in Collingwood recently received 216 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms through Project Zero, the devices paid for in part by Enbridge and the Fire Marshall's office.

Collingwood Fire Chief Ross Parr says he knows there are homes in the town without proper alarms for fire or Carbon Dioxide, which can be just as deadly.
