Work is nearly complete on a new bridge connecting Lake Huron to Highway 401.
Officials with Huron County's Economic Development Department have announced the installation of the Blyth Brook Bridge.
The 20 metre long bridge is one of two impasses needing completion along the abandoned rail bed-turned-trail along Ontario's West Coast.
The other is the Maitland River Bridge, southwest of Auburn.
County Communications Coordinator Scott Currie says the bridge will allow non-motorized visitors to use the trail in time for the 100th International Plowing Match, in Walton.
It is also expected snowmobilers will be able to use the Blyth Brook Bridge this winter.
The Blyth Brook bridge is slated to officially open September 19th.
