Municipal Senior and Youth Awards Open

Nominations open until October 20th while the awards will be handed out November 27th.

Nominations are now being accepted for this years Municipal Senior and Youth Awards.

The Town of Orangeville hands out the awards annually in recognition of seniors and youths within the community.

These individuals enrich the social, cultural or civic life of Orangeville.

Residents of Orangeville who are 55-years of age or older qualify for the Senior awards while those who are between 14 and 21 fall under the Youth group.

Nominees can be any individual, organization, agency or community group who have made a significant contribution in one or more of the available categories.

The categories include Volunteerism, Arts & Literature, Community Services, Education, Preservation of History, Fitness/Recreation/Sports, Humanitarian Activities or Environment/Science.

You can pick up nomination forms at the towns website or Town Hall.

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, October 20th followed by Council presenting the awards at a council meeting on November 27th.
