Attack Hire Todd Gill

The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League have hired Todd Gill to be their next head coach.

Gill, a former National Hockey League defenceman who played more than 1,000 games, will replace Ryan McGill who left the Attack after 2 seasons to join the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL as an assistant coach.

The past 2 seasons, Gill has been with the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League as an assistant coach. The Heat are the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames.

Prior to that, Gill coached the Kingston Frontenacs in the Ontario Hockey League for 3 seasons from 2011-2014.

During his days at Kingston, Gill compiled a record of 85-99 & 20 with the Frontenacs.

Gill is also experienced on the international stage with Team Canada, having won bronze medal at the 2012 U-18 tournament in the Spring as an assistant coach before serving as the head coach for the U-18 team who won the gold medal at the Ivan Hlinka tournament in August of 2012.

The Attack also confirmed Alan Letang will remain on the coaching staff with as an assistant coach.

Letang was an assistant for Ryan McGill last season.
