Suspect Nabbed Following Legion Break-In

A Wingham man has been charged following a break-in at the Legion in Ripley.

 
A 20 year old Wingham man is facing charges in connection with a break-in at a Legion.
 
Just before 4am on Wednesday (July 12th),  a member of South Bruce OPP was on patrol in the Village of Ripley in Huron-Kinloss, and noticed broken glass on the sidewalk outside the Royal Canadian Legion. 
 
The officer spotted someone inside the building wearing a mask and camouflage clothing.
 
Officers located the suspect hiding in the storage room area of the building and he was arrested without incident.
 
The suspect is charged with break and enter, as well as Possession of Methamphetamine.
 
He appeared for a bail hearing in Walkerton court and was held over in custody for another appearance on Tuesday of next week. (July 17th)
 
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call South Bruce OPP or crime stoppers.
