new equipment but no lifeguards yet

There is some new equipment at the beach this spring.

A total of six new life-saving stations are being set up in Wasaga Beach in a partnership between the town and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.

The stations include a shepherd's hook and buoy.

One of the new stations will be placed at Beach Area One, on the spit at the mouth of the Nottawasaga River, three will go at Beach Area Two, and two stations will be placed at Beach Area Five.

There are already these stations at Spruce Street and at Third Street at the main beach and at Beach Area Five, at 30th Street.
