Tall buildings proposed at Collingwood Airport

Clearview Township | by Catherine Thompson

seven storeys approved by Clearview council

You might see some very tall buildings in Clearview Township near the Collingwood airport.

Councillors have agreed to let the developer of the proposed new airport business park build up to seven storeys. The township's typical industrial zone is a maximum height of 18 metres, not 24 as requested and approved.

Also at this meeting, there was a public meeting on the township's Community Improvement Plan which outlines ways to make downtown areas more appealing. The township has budgeted $50,000 to offer assistance to property owners, or tenants with the owner's permission, to make improvements to businesses. The application minimum is five hundred dollars.

Council has also approved allowing ATV riders to drive on the shoulder of some Clearview Township roads to allow connectivity to other area communities.
