Kings Hammer Tomahawks
Campbell with 9 points for Orillia in win over Mississauga.
The Orillia Experience Nissan Kings experience their first win at home.
Matthew Campbell (5 goals, 4 assists) had nine points to lead the Kings to a 18-12 victory over the Mississauga Tomahawks Friday night in Junior B lacrosse action.
Orillia built a 4-1 lead 8:31 into the first period only to have Mississauga respond and eventually tie it up at 5-5 at the end of the period.
But the Kings broke it open with 6 goals in the second period led by a pair from Campbell to take an 11-7 lead.
He and Dallin Blunt (2 goals, 3 assists) each scored a pair of third period goals, part of a 7-goal outburst in the third period to seal the win for the Kings (3-4-0).
David Wilkie (1 goal, 5 assists) had 6 points for the Kings.
Garreth Haigh (4 goals, 3 assists) and Payton Cormier (2 goals, 5 assists) each had 7 points for the Tomahawks (5-3-0).
The next game for the Kings is Saturday night when they host the Oakville Buzz at Rotary Place at 8 PM.
