Student Trustees & Senators Recognized

The Bluewater District School board has recognized student body representatives for their work.

The Bluewater District School Board is not only made up of elected trustees but students have a voice as well.
Three student trustees and seven student senators attend regular board meetings throughout the year to report on each school's activities and concerns.
At the regular board meeting, May 16th, the students were recognized by Superintendent of Education Lori Wilder, who thanked them for their work.
Board Chair Ron Motz and Director of Education Alana Murray thanked each student individually as well.
Wilder says "Student voice is so important and it's great to have all of our schools represented."
Student trustees recognized are: 
Luke Burrows, Bruce Peninsula District School 
Branden Wheeler, John Diefenbaker Senior School and 
Holly Melsom, OSDSS.
Senators recognized are:   
Chesley District Community School - Malcolm Bainborough
Georgian Bay Community School - Jacklyn Marshall
Grey Highlands Secondary School Kate - Lupo-Flewelling
Kincardine District Secondary School - Annika Van Veen
Owen Sound District Secondary School - Holly Melsom*
Peninsula Shores District School (FN) - Brooklyn Seigmiller
Saugeen District Secondary School - Sasha Morano
Walkerton District Community School - Andre Wiederkehr
