A fundraising hike is raising money for Huron County's first residential hospice.
The South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) announced funding in March for a four-bed hospice in Clinton.
Spokesperson for Huron Residential Hospice, Jay McFarlan, says funds raised in the upcoming "Hike For Hospice" will be put toward the Clinton hospice facility.
McFarlan says a majority of Huron County residents hope to die in their homes, and the planned hospice facility will make that a reality.
The Hike For Hospice runs Sunday May 7th at the Varna Nature Trail, with parking at the Stanley Community Centre.
