Golden Pheasants Found Dead in Park

Owen Sound Police investigate possible foul play after someone forced the bird stall open.

Owen Sound Police are looking for information after two Golden Pheasants were found dead at Harrison Park.

Police say during sometime overnight Wednesday into Thursday someone approached forced the bird stall door in.

Park staff reported the birds missing.

Police say the two colourful pheasants were found dead a short distance away.  

They add it's not clear how the pheasants died but foul play is being investigated.

Birds in nearby stalls were accounted for and their coops were undamaged.

The Criminal Investigations Branch has been assigned to the case and seeks the assistance of the public.
