Habitat For Humanity Sign Damaged In Clinton

Clinton | by Vanessa Culbert

Sign promoting upcoming Clinton build damaged by vandals, says Board Chair.

It did not take long for a Habitat for Humanity sign in Clinton to be vandalized.

Board Chair Bill Don says on Monday afternoon they put the sign up promoting a new build on Dunlop street.

Don says they returned on Wednesday morning to find the sign pushed over.

He says the sign weighs approximately 60 to 70lbs,  so wind is not the culprit in blowing the sign over.

Don notes, the sign also had steal posts in the ground.

He says the OPP agree it's something wind could not push it over.

Don says officers believe it was more than one person that pushed the sign over

Don is asking people in the neighbourhood to look out for these types of things.

He says the OPP are aware they will be building soon, and officers will try to pass the building site frequently.

Don says the dedication for the build is April 9th, and they hope to have ground break shortly after that.

Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP.
