Attack Finish Regular Season With 8-5 Win Over Storm

Owen Sound Attack 8 Guelph Storm 5



Rookie Zachary Roberts scored a hat trick for the Attack who ended their regular season on a 12-game point streak.

Ethan Szypula had a goal and 4 points as Owen Sound finished the regular season with a franchise record 102 points.

Petrus Palmu, Jonah Gadjovich, Maksim Sushko and Santino Centorame also scored in the victory for Owen Sound who will meet Kitchener in the opening round of the OHL Playoffs.

Attack goaltender Michael McNiven stopped 15 shots for his 41st win of the season. Over the year, McNiven smashed the franchise record for wins in a season- the previous high was 32 held by Jordan Binnington in 2012-13.

Liam Hawel, Isaac Ratcliffe, Ryan Merkley, James McEwan and Matt Hotchkiss scored for Guelph who will miss the playoffs for a 2nd straght year.
