New North Huron Fire Chief

Ryan Ladner takes over for retiring chief David Sparling.

There will be a smooth transition at the top of the Fire Department of North Huron, with the appointment of a new Chief.

Ryan Ladner previously served with Fire Departments in Mississauga, Puslinch Township and the Town of Erin (EE'-rin) for a total of 15 years, and is a military veteran.

A large part of Ladner's focus will be on the Emergency Services Training Centre in Blyth, where his military background in training will be an asset.

Ladner takes over from retiring FDNH Chief David Sparling on April 1st.

His official appointment will take place at tonight's North Huron Council meeting.
