A large banner placed at the constituency office of Simcoe-Grey's MP in Collingwood has been taken down, and the OPP are investigating who put it up.
The handmade banner was draped from the roof of the building on the Pretty River Parkway sometime overnight.
On it was painted the names of the six men murdered at a mosque in Quebec City on Sunday night. It also read, 'Hate puts us all at risk' and called on Conservative MP Kellie Leitch to resign.
The sign was taken down at about 10 Wednesday morning.
Leitch has been controversial since she called for a snitch line for barbaric cultural practices during the last election campaign.
During her campaign for the leadership of the federal Conservatives, she has called for more vetting of immigrants and visitors to Canada, to be sure they have what she calls, 'Canadian Values'.
Her critics claim her campaign is a not-so-subtle call to racists.
But two anti-immigrant groups have voiced their support for Leitch's leadership ambitions.
