Cougars Claw Terriers

May with 3 as Schomberg moves past Orillia into 6th in the Carruthers standings.


A tough go for the Davenport Orillia Terriers.
 
The Schomberg Cougars came out of the gate with a 4-0 first period lead and went on to beat the Terriers 7-2 on Saturday night.
 
3 of Schomberg's goals came off the stick of Connor May. He finished the game with 4 points.
 
Ryley Eggerton and Connor Whiteside each had a goal and 2 assists.
 
Marty Lawlor had both of Orillia's (13-23-0) goals while Andrew Couling made 37 saves in net.
 
Nicholas Nabuurs stopped 24 shots in the win for the Cougars (13-20-1) who leap over the Terriers into 6th place in the PJHL Carruthers Division standings.
 
Each team scored on the power play, Orillia on 6 opportunities, 7 for Schomberg.
 
The next game for the Terriers is this afternoon (SUN) when they travel to Stayner to battle the division leading Siskins.
